Cork HTA, History Resources for Teachers

The Cork History Teachers’ Association (Cork HTA) is dedicated to the promotion and teaching of History. As an organisation with a growing and active membership, we are a strong voice locally and nationally for representing historical education at secondary level.

Our aims are to advance the teaching and learning of History, and to support the work of History teachers, especially at secondary level.

We organise seminars and workshops for teachers, and seminars for Leaving Cert and Junior Cert students. We also organise student History quizzes and debates. We publish a regular online newsletter, and we provide resources for promoting History in school.

We welcome members from all over the country. Members can avail of our online services and resources. These provide help and support for the teacher in the classroom at both Junior and Leaving Cert level.
